About Us
Lochaber Pet Crematorium is situated in Fort William, covering the Lochaber area.
We are a small family run business and we understand that losing a pet is like losing a family member or best friend.
Our aim is to help you through this difficult time with compassion and support.
All pets will be handled gently and cared for with dignity, respect and love, as we would one of our own.
We absolutely guarantee that you pet will be individually cremated and the ashes you receive back are those of your pet alone.
We can collect your pets either from your home or from your veterinary practice - please ensure to let your vet know that you would like to use our service. Otherwise, you may find your vet chooses to send your pet to a larger commercial service which can mean your pet will be stored for a number of weeks and isn't guaranteed an individual cremation.
We have a small private area at the Crematorium if you decide you want to bring your pet to us personally, however this will require at least 24 hours notice.
We will call you when your pets ashes are ready. We aim for this to be within 72 hours but it will usually be quicker than this, and we will return them home to you.
All ashes will be returned in a scatter tube included in the price. A small clipping of your pet's fur will also be included unless specified that this is not wanted.

Cremation Costs
Our cremation costs are calculated by weight and inclusive of VAT. The below listed weights are approximated to breed, however your pet may differ and this will be accounted for. The scatter tube your pets ashes will be returned to you in is also included in the price, as is a small clipping of your pets fur.
**WE ARE CURRENTLY ONLY ACCEPTING SMALL PETS UP TO 10KG**
Small Animal (Approx Wt. Hamster, Guineas Pig etc.) £90
1KG > 10KG (Approx Wt. Cat, JRT etc.) £150
Transport Costs
Collection of pets and returning ashes from your veterinary practice or home is free under 3 miles. Anything over this is charged at £1.00 per mile.
Extras
If circumstances mean a same day cremation is required, this is something we will try to accommodate however it will cost an extra £50.
Payment can be made by cash or BACS.
